In 2023, the loss of a close family friend who struggled with depression and died by suicide became a defining moment. It raised a question that would shape his vision: What if the right professional had been accessible at the right time? Driven by this experience, Fondung spent the following years developing his skills in web development, technology, and digital innovation at Jongo Hub in Buea. In 2025, he brought his experience in Special Education and technology together to create Habilift—a connected ecosystem designed to bridge gaps between individuals, professionals, institutions, and mental health services.
